is there any Korean restaurant's in glasgow or edinburgh? Kokuryo: 1138 Argyle Street, West End, Glasgow Tel: 0141 334 5566 Kokuryo is said to be the only authentic Korean restaurant in Scotland. The dishes benefit from an abundance of flavours, namely the use of kimchi, a strongly flavoured pickled cabbage, as well as chilli, garlic, anchovy and ginger. The taster plates offer the chance to combine different dishes to create unique flavours.
nice restaurants in glasgow anyone? depends on how much you want to spend. If you want to go for creme de la creme - try Hotel Du Vin, One Devonshire Gardens. If you want something great for average price....You could go into Prince Square which is beautiful - theres lots of lovely restaurants with a fantastic atmosphere - The Restaurant Bar & Grill is brilliant in there, theres also D'arcy's or Barca. "The Grill on the Corner" is also fantastic and is recommended as the top restaurant in Glasgow.. http://www.top-ten-glasgow-guide.com/glasgow-restaurants.html

good restaurant/bar glasgow? I'm Glaswegian & now live in Manchester. My favourite restaurant in Glasgow (or in fact anywhere I've ever been) is Mussel Inn, on West Regent Street. It's a very smart, yet relaxed environment & welcomes children. The prices are better than reasonable & as it's on the West Coast of Scotland, the seafood is ALWAYS fresh! You don't need to have mussels, of course, but it's definitely a restaurant for people who enjoy all of the delights the sea has to offer. When I lived in Glasgow, I'd often take my daughter for dinner & we'd always have mussels. The kilo pot, for adults, comes in at around £11 and a half kilo for kids at around £5 - with complimentary crusty bread for mopping up the sauce. There is a good variety of flavours for the mussels, but the menu also offers a full range of dishes. I love this restaurant so much that in 2 years, I've arranged 3 trips to Glasgow, JUST to visit Mussel Inn. (family visits came after) :o) There is a great Malt bar across the road, called The Pot Still - which offers hundreds of malts, along with the usual array of beverages. This restaurant is a MUST if you're whole party enjoy fish & seafood. And you will not be breaking the bank!!
Why is Prestwick Airport Called Glasgow Prestwick? For the same reason that Gatwick, Stansted and Luton airports are called 'London Gatwick', 'London Stansted' and 'London Luton, i.e. they are airports serving London and for marketing purposes their profile is higher because they are associated with London. Prestwick airport has always been known officially as Glasgow Prestwick (but the 'Glasgow' prefix was usually dropped, it was reintroduced by Ryanair and Prestwick airport's management) and was the main airport for the city of Glasgow and west of Scotland before Glasgow (Renfrew) airport was built - which was rebuilt a few miles to the west in the 1960's and renamed Glasgow Abbottsinch (it is now called officially Glasgow International airport). Many cities in the world have more than one airport serving them, Rome has Fiumicino and Ciampino, Paris has CDG and Orly etc, Scotland's largest city has 2 airports as well.
where can i go this weekend around glasgow? A MUST SEE is the Kelvingrove art gallery museum. It has just been refurbished and is one of the most popular places in Glasgow. Also there is the retail sector in Glasgow City Centre which has some of the best shop in the UK and is ranked as the 7th best retail sector in the WORLD. There is the newly developed Science Centre which has a planetarium, shows and exhibits and a cinema the size of a 5-a-side football pitch. Unfortunately the science tower is closed so thats a downside. You could take your 18 month old daughter to perhaps the Glasgow Transport museum where it shows all the ships built on the world famous Clyde River and the old transport vehicles used in Glasgow at least 50 years ago. If it's a sunny day, you could go to one of the many parks like the kelvingrove park in the west end where there is the calm river Kelvin and human friendly squirrels. It is never hard to get to any of these areas as the city has the only complete underground system in the uk serving 15 stations with one serving near the art gallery, it has an airport less than 8 miles from city centre and has many bus routes. The suburban rail is the most extensive system outside London serving 180+ stations just in the city council boundarys alone!!! So Glasgow is a great city for visiting and the weather isn't really as bad as people say.

This island restaurant plans to keep serving food as a second hurricane looms Technically, Todd Beaty and the rest of the team at Cruz Bay Landing should have left St. John more than a week ago.  Nonessential occupants were asked to get off the island ahead of Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 storm that obliterated much of St. John, the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands. That storm raged over the island earlier this month, but Beaty and his restaurant staff remain open, and they plan to stay open even as Hurricane Maria swirls toward the island.
