AnswercomWill North Korea point some nukes toward Beijing if China bans oil exports to North Korea? Why would North Korea attack the United States or a neighboring country? There's a lot of news in the media about how close we are to nuclear war and I understand North Korea's nuclear capabilities are getting better and better. However, I would like to know in what situation would it be likely for North Korea to actually use nuclear weapons? I can't see any situation that would not lead to their complete destruction. Given this, why is there so much concern for North Korea's nuclear program? If the US decided to attack North Korea, would it be viable to conduct a false flag operation to gain pretext? [on hold] Historically, many wars have started by false flag operations to gain a pretext for war. If I understand correctly, false flag operations are even considered to an extent a legitimate ruse of war, so apparently they are not thought to be necessarily unethical. Now, suppose the US eventually decided that it needs to use military force against North Korea. While it might not need to convince many western countries of the justification, the matter is different with China, Russia and possibly South Korea. For example, China seems to have stated that it would not support North Korea if they attacked first. So, it seems to me that the US would definitely benefit from being able to blame North Korea for acting first. Would it at all be militarily and politically feasible for the US (possibly with support from South Korea) to stage a North Korean attack so that it could fool China long enough to keep it out of the conflict? Why or why not would it choose to do so?Would the proposed new sanctions on North Korea's kim Jong Un strengthen support from North Koreans? [on hold] New sanctions are now being proposed the US and some UN member nations in the hopes of stopping further nuclear advancement by the North Korean government. These sanctions usually hurt the citizens more than the government as they under-cut the sanctions with other nations. For the North Korean citizens, do these sanctions strengthen/weaken their "love" and support for Kim Jong Un?Why does the US engage with North Korea How does having any type of relationship with the North Korean government advance the interests of the United States government? What would the UK do if America was attacked by North Korea?
