Barcelona is famous for what? Barcelona is one of the main cities of Europe not just Spain, it has many attractions and is popular with tourists for it's civic amenities...it is like many are saying here famous for it's FOOTBALL (don't dare mention any other referral to me) just FOOTBALL (Futbol).... Here's a list of landmarks and places to look out for:
Visiting Edinburgh thiis week want to know about the Castle, The dungeons and good indian Restaurants? is glasgow the smallest countray in the world? Glasgow is a city, although many not Brits do refer to Scotland as Glasgow, as Glasgow is by far the largest city and only major city in Scotland. As for one of the replies above, Glasgow is not in the north east, that’s Aberdeen! Glasgow is in the south-west of Scotland. And A for the idiot who said it was like a 3rd world country, maybe you should visit a 3rd world county you will see what REAL poverty is, until then shut-up! With your snobby post I can guess what part of Scotland you are from… Its people like you that need to get the facts right and learn that Scotland’s 6 most affiliate areas are all in Glasgow, you know that big city with the highest house prices etc in the country. I wish Glasgow was an independent country, idiots in our parliament in the east are constantly holding this great city back.
Is one day enough to see Glasgow? First, what you gonna do in Glasgow? 1 day for sight seeing, eating, drinking, etc maybe enough. I suggest you visit famous landmarks like the Science Center and parks like the Doulton Fountain. For restaurant, the most popular would be The Ubiquitous Chip for authentic Scot cuisine. Be sure to book ahead. For pubs, try King's Tut.
How expensive is it to live in Aberdeen (Scotland) ? i seldom try to dissuade people from coming to a certain place here in Scotland but if i were a visitor (and knowing what i do) i wouldnt recommend aberdeen not because of the people, there are many more, better place in my opinion glasgow or edinburgh would be my choice we travel scotland extensively aberdeen, well..... its just so blah staying in the central belt you have everything half an hour to the beaches, minutes from glasgow or edinburgh, and 45 mins to the highlands glasgow is a vibrant busy city i have 3 teens, 2 of whom go to gigs all over aberdeen is the one place they wont stay and choose to travel back through the night even if the go to edinburgh, which is 45 mins from here, they stay, and do breakfast shopping sightseeing the next day aberdeen is pretty rubbish, sorry

Is there a map with the most popular natural attractions on it? I'm looking for an online map covering central Europe (mainly France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Austria), which has on it the most popular natural attractions (lakes, mountains, scenic roads etc...).Specifically this is for planning a road trip that I'm about to start from Basel, and I need to decide in which direction to drive. I am not interested in cities, only natural attractions. BTW if you know about maps of this sort covering other parts of the world, this could be useful for other travelers.

UK Standard Visitor Visa refused for my spouse because she couldn't demonstrate herself as a genuine visitor. What are my options? I am currently in UK on ICT Tier 2 VISA for 6 months. My wife (housewife) applied for general visit Visa in March 2015, to join me and for tourism purpose for 4 months. She intended to leave Uk with me in July 2015.But her visa was rejected, here is the exact reason stated: "You intend to travel to UK to join your husband. You have provided no information regarding thee purpose of your proposed visit other than to join him. I note that your husband has applied for VISA for duration of 6 months. I note that you are supported by your husband in India""There is a category of visa that allows a spouse to join a migrant whoo has tier 2 employment visa. I am not satisfied that you are merely joining you husband as dependant.""As you have provided no information regarding thee purpose of your proposed visit other than joining your husband, I do not consider you are travelling to Uk for tourism purpose. I am not satisfied that you will leave UK at the end of the proposed visit" I note that, she had not provided any air tickets for her travel; neither she had submitted travel itineary. We were planning to book the air tickets after VISA arrival. I guess the Visa application was for general visit, but somehow represented as dependant visa. Can anyone please tell me, what we missed here and can she apply again immediately? Is this a big issue? Or She can get visa again if she corrects the missing things? Do we have to plan and book the hotels in advance and show the hotel bookings as travel plan? Its really difficult to plan and book hotels for holidays in future. Please help with your suggestions and inputs if any. Thanks for your help.
